LOCAL COMMUNITY

Iganga is about 80 miles from the capital city of Uganda, Kampala. The organization is helping rural women
in Iganga gain skills in tailoring and intends to introduce computer literacy and teach women on poultry
rearing. Being a rural community these women are very poor and most of them have not gone to school or
are school dropouts. Those that have attained secondary level education will greatly benefit from gaining
computer literacy. The women in these rural communities do not have any skills to make them self-
supporting and are economically marginalized, subject to abuse, and are at the same time vulnerable.
The organization's advocacy programme is done in every community.
